Update regarding Spiber’s response to COVID-19

February 09, 2022

In order to help prevent the spread of COVID-19, Spiber has adopted the following measures for its Japan-based offices:

1. Prohibition of most domestic and international business trips
・In general, we are also unable to offer company visits for the purpose of giving tours, media interviews etc.

2. Implementation of remote work
・In general, team members will work from home. The number of team members who need to come to the offices due to the nature of their work is being kept to a bare minimum.
・Those team members who need to come to the offices are checking their temperatures before coming to work, using face masks, washing their hands and using alcohol sanitizers, and engaging in social distancing when eating.

Please note that, due to the nature of their operations, the Spiber-operated Yamanoko and Yamanoko home nursery schools will be operating as usual, with all staff taking the utmost precaution to halt the spread of any infections.

Spiber will continue to proactively take measures to respond to the situation as it unfolds, while striving to achieve the flexibility needed to minimize impacts on our business operations. Please accept our apologies for any inconveniences these measures may cause.
