‘Liminal’ Couture Spring/Summer 2022

On January 27th, 2022, YUIMA NAKAZATO, designed by Yuima Nakazato, presented its Spring/Summer couture collection “LIMINAL” featuring Brewed Protein™ materials at Haute Couture Week in Paris.

The collection features Spiber’s Brewed Protein fibers in elegant accessories crafted through YUIMA NAKAZATO’s unique “Biosmocking” technology. The utilization of these unprecedented materials and technologies suggests new values and possibilities for garments.

Moreover, the collection also marks a new endeavor by YUIMA NAKAZATO to fuse cutting-edge technology with traditional craftsmanship via collaboration with a Yokoburi embroidery artisan in Kiryu, Gunma Prefecture, resulting in several looks featuring brightly-colored Yokoburi embroidery using Brewed Protein materials.
