Anonymous Grievance Mechanism

At Spiber, we strive to build the most sustainable ecosystem possible, including materials, chemicals used, and people involved—and that includes those in our value chain. It is crucial for our company to have a robust anonymous reporting system that enables us to listen to anyone along our supply chain about any non-compliance concern. This is where SpeakUp, our dedicated anonymous grievance system, comes into play.

When to report grievances through the SpeakUp system

Please report through this system if you are a stakeholder of Spiber’s supply chain (including employees, workers, and contractors of Spiber’s direct or indirect suppliers, and those who are part of relevant local communities) with knowledge of actual or suspected violations of law, or breaches of our sustainable sourcing policy relating to Spiber’s supply chain. You can use this tool to report anytime, 24/7, in any language and anonymously.
If you are a Spiber Group employee, please consider the use of the separate Spiber Group internal whistleblowing system we have in place.

How can you report via our SpeakUp system?

Our SpeakUp system about non-compliance is available 24/7, 365 days a year by following these easy steps:

  1. Go to the webpage at this URL link or download the app (available on Android and iOS).
  2. Click on “+ New report”. Select the language in which you want to leave the report.
  3. Note down your individual report number and create a password. You’ll need this number each time you access the system and would like to track the progress status of your complaint.
  4. Type your message: include a detailed description of your concern (who, what, when, how), precise your company name and its related business activity. If possible, add supporting evidence (e.g. copies of documents or names of witnesses) that can corroborate your report.
  5. Click on “Send message”. You have the option to leave your email address if you’d like to be notified when there is a response. After adding your email address, you’ll be asked to type the verification code sent to that email address.

What happens once you submit your report?

You will receive a confirmation reception message from us within 7 working days. We take all non-compliance concerns seriously. Our global Sustainable Sourcing department will review each case and escalate to relevant global executives depending on the content of the concern for decisions on the course of actions that Spiber will take.
To ensure the investigation is carried out confidentially, we will only involve people who need to be involved.
Depending on the nature of the information provided to us (for example, if we do not have a direct means to investigate a reported incident while respecting the anonymity of those involved), there may be cases where we are unable to take direct action to resolve the issues that are reported. In such cases, we will consider an appropriate approach and keep you informed on our progress.
