Spiber Inc. is pleased to announce the successful continuation of its strategic partnership with Zegna Baruffa Lane Borgosesia (ZBLB), a prestigious Italian mill known for its expertise in premium wool spinning. This collaboration combines Spiber’s cutting-edge Brewed Protein™ fiber with ZBLB’s craftsmanship in wool spinning, creating innovative yarns that push the boundaries of textile innovation.

Since the start of the collaboration in 2023, the two companies have been working together to unlock the full potential of Brewed Protein™ fiber through a range of spinning techniques. This partnership has resulted in a newly developed yarn blend, composed of 30% Brewed Protein™ fiber and 70% Responsible Wool Standard (RWS) merino wool. These yarns, designed for both knitting and weaving, are now available for sale, offering an exceptional hand feel and versatile application, including jersey knitwear and woven coats.
