Yonetomi Seni, a knitwear manufacturer with head office and factory in Yamagata, Japan and a clientele of world-famous brands and companies, will release a limited number of “Yonetomi x Spiber NEW BASIC KNIT” knitwear products using Spiber’s Brewed Protein™ fiber (crew neck and turtleneck items, each with 6 color variations). The products will initially be available for purchase in limited quantities in Japan, with full sales in Japan and overseas beginning in fall/winter 2024.

Since partnering with Spiber in 2019, Yonetomi has been working with us to develop numerous products using Brewed Protein™ fiber. As a knit manufacturer, they have long been conscious of the global environmental impact of fashion. Yonetomi continually experiments with new changes and approaches to its core business, and they have now decided to develop and sell basic yet high quality knitwear through their own factory brand using yarns blended with Brewed Protein™ fiber and ultra-fine wool fibers. Yonetomi and Spiber hope that these collaboration items will provide an opportunity for customers to consider global environment issues both now and in the future.
