On February 16, 2013, a lecture by Mr. Hiroshi Senju, a Japanese painter based in New York, was held at the Tsuruoka Metabolome Campus Lecture Hall (organized by the Institute for Advanced Biosciences, Keio University). A panel interview and a special lecture were held, discussing the relationship between art and science. Spiber President Kazuhide Sekiyama and Dr. Masaru Tomita, Director of the Institute for Advanced Biosciences, Keio University, were on stage.
